Its compulsory for the above establishments to comply with BS7177 ignition fire regularity standards that go further than those required for domestic use. Upholstered in a typical contract striped damask fabric, it benefits from a hand tufted finish that ensures the layers of hypo-allergenic fillings stay in place. At the core of the mattress is its spring system, made up of rows of hourglass shaped open coil springs, set out in rows running from head to toe. Each row is joined at the top and bottom by spiral helical wires before a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the perimeter springs to strengthen the edge. To complete the bed, the mattress is paired with a deep divan base that offers a range of fabrics and colours and a selection of storage options.
