The medium to firm Mersey divan bed is manufactured to stringent Crib 5 specifications and consists of body-contouring pocket springs. Crib 5 divan beds are designed for use in hospitality and commercials establishments such as hospitals, hotels, guest houses and care homes, etc. Its compulsory for the above establishments to comply with BS7177 ignition fire regularity standards that go further than those required for domestic use. Upholstered in a durable damask fabric, the mattress benefits from a hand tufted finish; a process where tapes are passed through it at regular intervals. Cotton tufts are then attached to each side of the tufts to ensure the deep layers of hypo-allergenic white fibre fillings are held securely in place. The core of the mattress is made up of totally independent small diameter pocket springs, with each spring individually wrapped in its own cloth sleeve. Not directly attached to any surrounding springs, they are designed to push back against the sleeper39;s body weight to provide piston-like support.
